Enriching and Enhancing Educational Opportunities in the Franklin County School System

Through the Medal of Honor Character Development Program, these students spent the year learning about citizenship, character, and the sacrifices made by our nation’s veterans. With support from the Foundation, students were able to publish their very own book, “This Is My Country!” — a collection of their artwork, writing, and reflections from this incredible journey. This project is about so much more than a book. It’s about teaching students the importance of leadership, service, patriotism, and honoring those who came before us.
Mrs. Ezell shared: “CES Student Council members are excited to share their new book, ‘This Is My Country!’ This book brings together everything they have learned and experienced this school year. It has been an amazing year, and we appreciate the Foundation for their support and encouragement.”
